This is a new video i've been working on, called 'facing east.' Its a small 3mins15sec video of the islamic section of a graveyard in Romford, Essex. I found the fact that these few gravestones were facing a different direction to the rest, kind of strange. but thought that their relationship to the sun's movement, shadow and the sense of time passing most compelling. nothing much really happens, apart from the occasional bus in the background, and its only the movement of me holding the camera and the sound that really gives you a feeling of the time passing as-well as an idea of it being real or candid.
